Cindy's involvement with the insurance industry began at a very early age,
as her parents owned an independent broker office. She worked in the independent broker system for many years before changing to Island Savings and becoming a CUISA member. Cindy is a great believer in life-long learning, and in taking on new challenges. In addition to her current duties managing the insurance division of Island Savings Insurance offices, she has trained new staff; audited files and has been Underwriter for all of Island Savings book of business. In 2004, Cindy was the recipient of Island Savings' Annual Leadership Award. This busy wife, mother of three and grandmother of one is also active in her community. Cindy believes that her community gives to her workplace, her family and herself every day, and she is committed to giving back to the community. She has served on the Boards of her Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce and now CUISA, and is also active in the Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Drive, the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Cowichan 12 Hour Relay.
