Notice of Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Credit Union Insurance Services Association will be held on Tuesday June 18, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, BC.

The purpose of the meeting is to review the past year as well as to elect 4 Directors. In addition, there may be brought before the meeting such other business as may be properly and lawfully placed before it.

Business must not be conducted at an annual general meeting unless a quorum is present. A quorum is a majority of members in good standing at the time of the meeting.

With the exception of the election of Directors, voting will be on the basis of one vote per CUISA member brokerage, by a show of hands, and the Chairperson will declare whether the vote is carried or lost. Proxy voting is not permitted.

Procedure for election of Directors:

  1. The names of all nominees will be placed on ballots
  2. One ballot will be distributed to each voting member delegate
  3. When persons are to be elected to different terms of office on the same ballot, the term of office of each person elected shall be determined by the number of votes received, with the person elected receiving the least number of votes to hold office for the shortest term.
  4. After the voting has been completed, the ballots shall be collected, tallied and reported to the chairperson of the meeting
  5. The chairperson will announce the results of the election
